PARTNERSHIP WITH EAST SIDE LIMB LFD OFFICE
Program Information
The program will provide participants with programming to help move them into employment in human services - daycares or homecare specifically. Successful participants in this program will leave with the skills and training for employment as a daycare worker (ECE Certificate of Achievement) and as a probationary Continuing Care Assistant (CCA).
The program incorporates training in several key areas including Workplace Essential Skills, basic information on working in home care and in long term care facilities, three courses for the ECE Certificate of Achievement, two courses towards their CCA certification, as well as training in PART, TLR, First Aid & CPR and Safe Food Handling.
All participants will be provided with a 2-week unpaid work placement. All participants will be expected to complete all areas of the program, including both streams of programming and the work placement.
Who should apply?
· Adults who are 18 years old or older and who are currently not employed and wanting to work in the human services field.
· Adults who have completed their grade 12
